Misty Couture Corsets...
Silvia/Misty was born in Como Italy on December 25th 1984. From being a little girl she worked at developing her talent in fashion and tailoring
and as a teenager she decided to move to Milan to follow her passion.
She attended the Kandisky Fashion Institute where she soon got herself
noticed for originality, inspiration and enthusiasm. At this point she
started to explore the fashion world and in October 2004, she began work as a designer and assistant in a highly recognised Italian brands shop in Milan. After two years she decided to cut loose and go it
alone. Her core product is now the corset.
“I’m attracted by extremism and elegance at the same time and I think
that the corset is the perfect match between these two passions” said
Silvia.
Silvia started with a dark gothic style which she then turned into a
more sophisticated look .
From 2005 to now she has organised and run catwalks all over Italy and
has done a lot of photo shoots with professional photographers such
as Erica Fava, Mirko Bettini, Alex Giacomelli, Giorgio Mondolfo, Steve
Emme and many others.
The search for new styles and new ideas is always her first place, as
well as sartorial technique.
Silvia is now selling her designs and offering a 'made to order' service at the Charlie Boots shop on Broad St, Bath. We are very excited to have her join us and if you want to meet her in person then do get in touch with her via her website to check when she will be at Broad Street.
