Morecambe I miss you....

Morecambe I miss you.... For many years I made the bi-monthly trip to Morecambe with my parents where I was allowed one 'go' on the 'Noahs Ark' at the Pleasure Beach after spending hours ambling in and out of cheap and tacky shops; hunting for something interesting I could buy with a pound note.
It may sound like something from an Alan Bennett play but I do still have some fond memories of those days at the seaside (even if the sea was too dirty to swim in).

Michael reeves photographs take me back to those days and in fact some of his seaside photographs were taken in Morecambe. Michael often finds himself drawn to places and pursuits that we associate with childhood. His photographs have a dreamlike quality that enables the door to forgotten feelings and memories to open and for the viewer to indulge in the nostalgia.

I really love his work.

Available to buy at 204 Gloucester Rd, Bristol.
